Market Prospects returns to television

Market Prospects, a series of programs that provide timely market
information about major Saskatchewan agricultural commodities, will be
broadcast again this year from Jan. 31 to April 18 on CTV?s Farmgate.

Market Prospects ?98 will be similar to last year?s series, with some
adjustments. There will be more of an emphasis on marketing education
to help farmers interpret market information and choose risk management
strategies. Additionally, 15 segments comprise the series, in comparison
to last year?s eight. Total air time will remain about the same, however,
since last year?s segments were longer.

Market Prospects ?98 focuses on the following topics: Domestic and World
Market Overview, United States Market Situation and Outlook, CRWS
Wheat Outlook, Other Wheats Outlook, Australian perspective on
production and markets, Feed Grains/Malting Barley Outlook, Specialty
Crops Outlook, Oilseeds Outlook, and Farm Decisions: Costs, Returns,
and Weather.

Market Prospects ?98 will be broadcast every Saturday until April 18 on
CTV?s Farmgate. Three segments will be shown together each night on
March 10, 17, 31, and April 21 on SCN. Consult your local listings for
times in your area.

Two shows in November and one in January have already aired.
